JOB PURPOSE – SUMMARY
The director strategy role envisions a resource who is able to see the world as a playfield of technology and innovation. The individual must be is able to understand that data and technology are key enablers to great story telling and passionate consumer engagement. The individual should have a strong digital background and should work on integrating digital assets, raising brand awareness, collaborating on marketing campaigns, leading digital activation projects, and measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of both traditional and digital platforms. They are tasked with analyzing user experience data, initiating projects, reporting on planned and current strategies, leading effective campaign strategies, and ensuring that projects are executed within budget.
Ensure that the central responsibility of all planners is to help make it easier for great ideas and great work to be created on behalf of our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develops unique channel agnostic strategies and builds upon current client strategies which meet and exceed objectives.
• Executes projects to be high quality, on time and cost-effective/on budget
• Fosters timeline development and monitors progress, ensuring deadlines are met
• Manages overall project scope and ensures staffing assumptions adhere to budget
• Develops strong, trusting relationships between clients and agency partners, providing leadership and support during strategy, ideation, and execution.
• Manages client expectations, bringing issues/concerns to clients’ attention before they become problems, offering potential solutions, and advising of potential delivery delays
• Manages work and professional development of assigned project manager(s)
• Works with project managers to ensure team is aligned to client requirements
• Proactively keeps abreast of assigned clients’ marketing and media plans, and provides technological solutions including rich media, site optimization, promotional ideas, mobile, social networks, viral, etc.
• Writes communication briefs, ensuring that creative and media are effectively integrated
• Manages research studies that yield rich insights into consumer online behaviour and key motivational/attitudinal behaviour.
• Develops a total understanding of on&offline target audience and mindset modes
• Writes and transmits conference reports to clients and agency teams.
• Reviews statements and estimates of work prior to client review
• Provides campaign performance reporting and analysis to clients
• Ensures accountability is established during the project planning process
PROFESSION, TECHNICAL SKILL AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Minimum 8 years working in a digital/ digital media agency in a strategy function.
• Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communication Science or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Firm grasp of emerging digital tools
• Thorough understanding of digital touch points
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Insightful and perceptive
• Emotionally Someone who positively enjoys coaching, influencing and relationship building.
• Drive strong data-driven brand ideas which set category standards, and integrated work.
• Business knowledge

• Understanding of web analytics
• Possess broad knowledge of best digital practices
