JOB PURPOSE – SUMMARY
Art Directors develop and execute creative concepts that align with creative strategy and help to establish and communicate the visual expression of our company brand. This includes directing photo and video shoots, as well as motion and digital components. This position requires the ability to use storytelling to connect with and engage customers in all projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
The role reports to the Creative Director and the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Lead the development and execution of creative concepts and style guides that adhere to brand standards.
• Manage teams to deliver outstanding interactive visual
• Ensure the usability, consistency, brand relevance, and functionality of the finished
• Demonstrate proficiency in the latest Adobe Creative Suite, development tools, motion development, and ActionScript.
• Possess a killer portfolio with variety of industries and deliverables represented.
• Can manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail.
• Able to work with established brand and experience guidelines to produce visual designs that meet the brief and delight both target audiences and clients alike.
• Present ideas and concepts to clients or account managers with supporting rationale and thought process explaining how they address business and user needs.
• Support business development activities such as contributing expert design input to pitches, proposals and client presentations.
• Ability to translate a vision into a practical plan, and ability to brief and manage a team of Designers and/or teams of different experts (UX, front end development,
• Lead the brand and/or experience strategy and thought leadership for key projects./Accounts and help to drive the business success.
• Inspire innovation and great work through managing, mentoring, and training a team of creative as well as digital strategists and UX planners (including social, brand, digital, data, content, etc.) and drive best practices and thought leadership while. contributing to practice evolution within Agency’s broader digital media offering.
• Extend global communications strategies to digital.
• Refine the digital creative production process.
• Works directly with the Account Managers/Directors and attend client’s meetings.
PROFESSION, TECHNICAL SKILL AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role in Creative / Advertising industry.
• An online portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills and experience creating rich media. Please add your online portfolio link at the top of your resume when applying.
• Strong project management skills and a love of team-work, with the ability to multi- task and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of print, broadcast and digital communications.
• This person should know the ins and outs of the latest marketing and creative trends, identifying where the company or clients can implement new initiatives.
• At least five to eight years of design-related work is typically required, as well as experience leading a team with a range of creative positions, such as photographers, illustrators, designers, copywriters, production artists and more.
• Stellar candidates have a strong knowledge of creative tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, and some understanding of coding for digital projects.
• Because an art director works so closely with a variety of employees, it’s crucial that they possess top-notch communication, collaboration, problem-solving and project-management skills. These key soft skills help art directors manage time and resources efficiently while inspiring originality and creative thinking in the process.
• Able to execute concepts to a high visual standard for client presentations.
