JOB PURPOSE – SUMMARY
Account Executive responsible for directing and coordinating assigned projects. In this role, the AE is responsible for sound, proper and timely execution of all assigned work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Knowledge Areas:
- Collaborating with the AM in preparation of recommendations, marketing strategies and actions for the client
- Assist the AM to keep the brank book up to date with appropriate information/documents
- Assists to sourcing of all brands, competitor and consumer information
- Reviewing, analysing material relative to clients need – media results, research data etc
- Supports AM in the control of the advertising process: filing, client and internal meetings, follow up on deadlines, timing
- Handles assigned work requests in efficient, timely manner
- Assist in monitoring budget, research and similar items as assigned
- Effective organisation of meetings, diaries, presentation materials and refreshments
- Listen carefully to Team and Client requests, report them accurately and action them expediently
Relationships Management:
- Ensuring effective communication with all team members.
- Demonstrating an ability to effectively manage upwards.
- Demonstrates strong listening skills and is able to translate the information from Account teams in to work to be done
Client Management:
- Receives timely client approval of agency output for assigned work
- Client recognises initiative, personal and work style.
Commercial Management:
- Monitoring the estimates and billing process on behalf of the team
- Liaise with accounts department for POs and job orders
- Assists to follow up with Traffic for cost estimates
Creative Management:
- Is getting familiar with, and supports achievement of, the company’s vision and exemplifies the company’s values.
- Recognizes client needs and relates the same to work plans.
- Monitor assigned projects so that they within the agreed due dates.
- Escalates challenges to team members in early enough to avert any issues
PROFESSION, TECHNICAL SKILL AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Required Experience:
- Experience working in a busy office environment, preferably within the marketing / Communications industry.
- Experience of working across several projects simultaneously, juggling the day-to-day work in order to meet client deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office, Word, Excel, PPT, Email
Desired Experience:
- Experience of presenting and influencing clients
- Mentoring and coaching others in the team.
